This gives new meaning to "Drill baby, drill", doesn't it? Part of me really wants to see how this one plays out, the other just says "don't bother".
I spent the better part of this evening getting the necessary items ready to reformat my parents PC and had Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith playing in the background. I had forgotten how hollow the acting was on Hayden Christensen's (deserving of the golden razzie award) part... not to mention there were so many holes that George Lucas tried to tie up since this was the last film in the prequel trilogy. Ugh. I've always believed that G.L. never should've taken over directing after the 1977 Star Wars (later named Episode IV). Yes, Episode V kicked ass. It was the darkest and best film out of the original trilogy and even out of the 6 movie saga. When Lucas came back, he took ROTJ (Return of the Jedi) and basically the Galactic Empire was overthrown by a bunch of muppets (Ewoks). WTH? Sad, sad, sad and for that G.L. deserves a kick to the coin purse.
Anyway, I found this script a couple years ago and thought it better than the original script used for ROTS. It's the ROTS abridged script. I couldn't stop laughing when I first read it. I was a long time Star Wars fan and I believe that G.L. sold the soul of the original story all for the sake of impressing people w/special effects. Bad move on his part. It's just a shame that the live action series will probably suffer because he'll be the one directing what goes on. Now, had they brought in let's say... PETER JACKSON, he could've saved the franchise. I'm sure everyone is familiar w/the LOTR trilogy (Lord of the Rings), he would've been more than capable of directing the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Who knows, maybe in another 30 years, the prequel trilogy we know today could (let's hope) be scrapped and remade. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
There's now an mp3 of the abridged script, the cast uses sound effects to sell it. HA! Enjoy.
What can I say but "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Ok, so that's really not saying anything. I laughed loudly (seriously) at the opening of the ATHF (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) movie. I've never seen the move before. Actually, I had just finished watching the introduction to the film and took a break to blog about it. Talk about "metal".. \m/..
(from Wikipeida)
The movie begins with a song by The Soda Dog Refreshment Squad, in a parody of "Let's all go to the Lobby", only to be interrupted by heavy metal band Mastodon,
animated as various concession stand products, who warn the audience
that bad movie etiquette will result in severe bodily harm or death to
the viewer
On a side note, I'll never look at movie snacks the same way again. HA! Yes, I have a twisted sense of humor.
Cheers
