Riddle me this, Batman: Who will be your next enemy?

With the recent mega success Christoper Nolan's "The Dark Knight", I can hope that we won't see Jim Carrey on the list of "would be" actors trying to land this role.  I remember watching "Batman Forever" on the big screen and thinking it was nothing more than Ace Venture visits Gotham. 

Which person could best play the role and deliver a line like "Who's afraid of the big black bat?".  I think a possible could be none other than Johnny Depp for the next Batman film.  Okay, so it may not happen, but I think that Depp could really nail the part (and not bring Jack Sparrow over into Gotham making the same mistake as Carrey did). 

I'm also interested in seeing how Nolan plans to replace/recast for the Joker before they begin filming.  "Curiouser and curiouser".  Oh yeah, they could also place Depp as the Mad Hatter.  He could use his costume from the "Willy Wonka" set.
